Types of cases the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia consider: Freedom of Speech and Press; Freedom of Religion; Freedom from unreasonable invasions of privacy; Voting Rights; Equal Protection; Systemic police and prosecutor misconduct.

Types of cases the American Civil Liberties Union cannot accept: Denial of government benefits, such as unemployment, welfare, etc.; Criminal cases at any stage; Complaints against lawyers; Tax, immigration, asylum, or landlord-tenant problems; Divorce, child custody or neglect matters
