P-EBT Benefits in Georgia

DID YOUR CHILD RECEIVE FREE OR REDUCED LUNCH IN SCHOOL LAST YEAR? YOUR FAMILY MAY BE ENTITLED TO BENEFITS!

DFCS will provide a one-time payment of $256.50 per child for each child in your household who qualified for free/reduced lunch.

This amount represents the cost of lunches for the 45 days of school children missed when school was called off last spring.

If you currently receive SNAP (Food Stamps), you do not need to apply for P-EBT. Benefits should have been automatically posted to your EBT card.

If you have not received these benefits you may contact Georgia Legal Services for assistance. If you do not currently receive SNAP (Food Stamps), you must file an application to get the benefits on a P-EBT card.

The application is only available on-line at www.gateway.ga.gov.

If approved, an EBT card will be mailed within three to four weeks.

If you go to www.gateway.ga.gov to apply, please note that the P-EBT application is accessed from the Gateway home page by clicking on the bar directly beneath the picture of the Atlanta skyline.

IMPORTANT:  You must have the Student Testing ID (GTID) number of each eligible child in your household to complete the application process. Parents can check the Georgia Student Portal, report cards, other school-related materials or contact the local school district for this information.

YOU MUST APPLY BY SEPTEMBER 25th, 2020
